Copenhagen, Wrapped.

by Esu & Lilia

Our first Fashion Week. Our first trade fair. Our first real work trip.

For THESING, it was already the third season in Copenhagen. For us, it was the first time being thrown right into the middle of it all.

Before arriving, we had an idea of what Fashion Week was supposed to look like. Shows, cool outfits, parties, people running around with coffees. But being there with THESING was something completely different. Suddenly, we weren't just watching from the outside anymore. We were part of it.

Most of our days were spent at Mandatory Showroom. Buyers moving from booth to booth, conversations happening everywhere, people stopping by for five minutes and somehow staying for half an hour. You start recognising faces, overhearing conversations and slowly understanding how much is actually happening behind the scenes.

And no matter what was happening, at some point we were always back on the cargo bike, riding to the next thing.

Loaded with shoes, flowers and small gifts, we rode through Copenhagen from one place to another. To shows, meetings and wherever we needed to be next. We handed out flowers, met people along the way and probably looked slightly insane trying to fit everything onto that bike. But honestly, it became one of our favourite parts of the week.

Copenhagen feels like a city where everyone is constantly moving, mostly on bikes, and after a few days we kind of got used to being part of that rhythm too.

There were definitely moments when we had no idea what was going on. But that was also the exciting part. It was our first real look into an industry we had mostly only experienced from the outside before.

A week full of new people, new experiences, long days and probably more coffees than
necessary.

Copenhagen, thanks for having us.
We'll definitely be back.
